Wuhan University of Technology is a key national university directly under the Ministry of Education. The achievements in discipline and major construction are remarkable. It has won the National Excellent Teaching Achievement Award and the second Prize of Scientific and Technological Progress Award once each, as well as one national online open course and one national video open course. The "University Physical Education Course" has been rated as a "Hubei Province Excellent Course", and has won the first prize of Hubei Province's Outstanding Teaching Achievements twice and the third prize of Hubei Province's Social Science Achievements once. It has the undergraduate program in sports training and the authority to confer master's degrees in sports science and sports specialties.
