[Scientific research]The application and argumentation meeting for the National Social Science Foundation of the School of Physical Education in 2025

On the afternoon of April 17th, the 2025 National Social Science Foundation Application Argumentation meeting of the School of Physical Education was held in the second-floor conference room of the School of Physical Education. Professor Huang Qian from Wuhan Institute of Physical Education, Professor Chen Yuanxin from Central China Normal University, Professor Shen Keyin from Wuhan Institute of Physical Education, and 11 other fund application teachers including the dean Yang Yiwu attended the offline meeting. Some teachers and postgraduate students of the school attended the meeting online as observers. The meeting was presided over by Guo Minggang, the vice dean of the School of Physical Education.

Yang Yiwu delivered a welcoming speech, expressing his gratitude to all the experts for their presence. He also explained the specific situation of the approval and application of the National Social Science Foundation projects in our college in recent years. At the same time, he required all the applying teachers to closely follow the hot topics in the field of physical education, improve the basis for the topics, and enhance the quality of the applications. Guo Minggang introduced the academic backgrounds of the three experts, emphasized the significance of the college holding this meeting, and made relevant explanations on the procedures of the argumentation meeting.

Subsequently, each of the applying teachers reported on the main contents of their projects one by one. Three experts, based on their own academic experiences, put forward constructive suggestions for improvement regarding the topic selection directions, research methods, structural logic, and innovation points of each teacher. They also encouraged all the teachers to persevere in accumulating research achievements, identify the right research directions, and maintain a positive attitude. Wish all the teachers could achieve satisfactory results.

Through this argumentation meeting, all the teachers have clarified the direction of their topic selection, sorted out the argumentation ideas, and improved the content of their application. Finally, encouraged by the three experts, the teachers and students present at the meeting became even more confident. They all expressed their determination to draw on experience, conduct solid arguments, improve the quality of applications for the National Social Science Foundation projects, and contribute to the high-level discipline construction of the college.
